Screen Shot 2016-02-16 at 9.29.20 AMJoy had a friend of a friend whose baby had such a high temperature it went deaf. The $25 “TempTraq” is designed to prevent these horror stories.

Unlike a regular thermometer, TempTraq is a single-use patch placed on a child’s underarm area to monitor his or her temperature for 24 hours. It sends alerts by way of Bluetooth to an app on your phone up to 40 feet away, and allows you to send the info to a doctor. The temperature-testing method is supposed to be more accurate. But since you throw it away after 24 hours, it’s expensive, and probably only makes sense when it’s crucial.
