ROADS MADE OUT OF CRUSHED TOILETS
EMagazine.com has articles on green tech. In a recent issue, we learned that residents ofBellingham,Washington, are now driving on the first certifiably green roads. Short sections of road are paved with material from 400 crushed toilets mixed with asphalt with 30 percent recycled content, including recycled concrete. No bathroom jokes, please.

Though the American Red Cross gets the highest four-star rating, their president’s salary is a thumping $996,000, just a bit shy of a million. Even small charities, that we have given to, have presidents with salaries of $178,000 and more. They may be non-profit, but they’re certainly profitable for the executives.
