ABOUT THAT BOMB IN THE BASEMENT

The University of Military Technology in Warsaw, Poland, has developed a smart-phone app that can detect bombs and land mines, they say. It uses the phone’s magnetometer to detect faint changes in a nearby magnetic field. The app is currently only available for Windows smart-phones.
