IPHONE HACKED
Posted on October 8th, 2013 by Bob and Joy Schwabach
Everyone’s buzzing about the new iPhone 5S fingerprint technology. Two days after it hit the stores, however, the “Chaos Computing Club,” a German hacker group, unlocked it with a fake fingerprint.
The hackers took a picture of a fingerprint on a glass plate to get the print that unlocked the phone. So much for the new security. You could also get it from the surface of a desk, the iPhone case, or any surface the user would be likely to touch. Bob has an idea about security that’s hard to crack: you print out the files you consider really important and put the sheets in a shoebox. Shoeboxes are hard to crack.
There are still openings and almost all can not be 100% secure.
