the iphoneEveryone’s buzzing about the new iPhone 5S fingerprint technology. Two days after it hit the stores, however, the “Chaos Computing Club,” a German hacker group, unlocked it with a fake fingerprint.

The hackers took a picture of a fingerprint on a glass plate to get the print that unlocked the phone.  So much for the new security.  You could also get it from the surface of a desk, the iPhone case, or any surface the user would be likely to touch. Bob has an idea about security that’s hard to crack: you print out the files you consider really important and put the sheets in a shoebox. Shoeboxes are hard to crack.

  1. There are still openings and almost all can not be 100% secure.
