THE APPS ATE MY DATA

AT&T has a free calculator that makes it easy to find out why you keep going over the data limit on your smart phone. It’s especially helpful now that Verizon has joined AT&T and T-Mobile in ending unlimited data plans for new customers. Here are a few ways to use up one gigabyte in a month.
- Listen to 30 minutes of streaming music and watch 8 minutes of video every day.
- Download two games and two songs. Then do 30 posts on Facebook with photos.
- Send 100 daily emails, half with photo attachments, half with other attachments.
- Visit 180 web pages a day and send 100 emails without attachments.
Each activity on its own would put you over one gig, as they say. Go to Att.com/standalone/data-calculator to check up on your habits.
