CHEAP CALLS

The new Google phone coming out in 2010 will use “Gizmo5,” software that lets you make cheap or free Wi-Fi calls from a cell phone or computer. In reaction to the coming competition, Skype, the leader in free Wi-Fi calls, has come out with a new version.

Skype 4.2 helps you in situations where Wi-Fi is available for free phone calling but you don’t want to give out a credit card or mess with login screens. With “Skype Access” you can pay by the minute for a Wi-Fi connection using credit you bought in advance at Skype.com. The new version also makes it possible to transfer a call to a Skype contact or a landline

You can buy a phone handset to plug into your computer to make Skype calls.

Belkin.com and IPEVO.com have nice ones.
