That’s if she had bought the new “MiFi 2200” from Virgin Mobile. It creates a WiFi region around any device within 30 feet. Unlike all other such personal WiFi hotspots, with the Virgin MiFi, you don’t need a contract. These can be very expensive: $80 a month for the typical cellphone contract, or $60 a month for a special air card for your laptop.
