DIGITAL CAMERA FAILURE RATES

Out of 60,000 digital cameras purchased since 2006, SquareTrade.com, a warranty-provider, found that 11 percent fail in the first two years. In three years time, nearly 16 percent of digital cameras fail. Sixty percent of those failures were not the user’s fault.
