Belkin has a new kit for using your home or business’ electrical wiring to view the Internet in any room. It’s called the “Gigabit Powerline HD Starter Kit” and it sells for $150 from Belkin.com.

Powerline adapters for carrying Internet signals to any room with an electrical outlet have been around for several years, but what makes this one different is its speed. The use of “Gigabit” in the device’s name is because it can stream games and HD movies at a gigabit per second. To set it up, you connect one adapter to a home router and then plug it into a wall outlet. Then plug a second adapter into a wall outlet and connect the other end to a computer, gaming console or home theater.
