HOW TO USE “FRIENDS LISTS” IN FACEBOOK

You don’t want to send your bikini photo to your boss, but how do you send a photo to just a few? On Facebook,  there are “Groups” and there are “Friends Lists.”  Groups are things like “Save the Whales” or “Chicago Vegetarians.” Use “Friends Lists”  to send a message or a photo to some of the people you know, but not all.

Here’s how to do it.

1. Sign in and click on  the word “Friends” under “View my Profile.”

2. Click “Create a list” on the same page.

3. Now you’ll see thumbnail images of all your friends. Click on each one you want on your list and when you’re finished, type in a name for your list and click “Create List.”

4. To send the group a message look for the two little speech bubbles to the left of the globe at the top of your screen. Click there. (See below.)

6. Up pops something that looks like an email window. Compose your message and in the “To” area, type in the name of your new “Friends List.”
