Walkscore.com gives you a “walkability” rating for nearly any address you type in. By walkability, they mean, how convenient is that address to things that we often use, Addresses score high if there are a lot of restaurants, shops and places of interest nearby. It’s a useful way to check out places you’re think of moving to or staying for a while. They also have a free iPhone app.
