THIS SEARCH ENGINE PLANTS TREES

Screen Shot 2016-03-09 at 9.36.24 AMMost of us use Google to search on the web. But if you use Ecosia.org,  you’ll help plant trees all over the world. They say every search you do plants another tree.

The money comes from advertising. Ecosia takes 80 percent of the profits it makes on search engine ads and uses it to plant trees and give people jobs in less developed countries.  If you like, you can change the settings in your Chrome, Safari, Firefox or other browser from Google to Ecosia. Your first search at Ecosia could be “How to change the default search engine on Chrome,” or whatever web browser you use. (Odd facts: New York City has more trees than people.
